Never Underestimate the Power of a Woman
This
indigenous Brazilian woman stood up to troops during a protest to stop
construction of the Belo Monte dam in the Amazon. She stopped the troops
that day and today the Brazilian Federal Court stopped constuction of
the dam because the tribes were not consulted about the disasterous
effects the dam would have on their environment.
